Here's what you need to know about applying to college
Each year, the Common Application opens on August 1. But, did you know it allows you to apply to multiple colleges at once? Keep reading to find out more.
Creating your account
First, visit the Common Application website, create an account, and fill out the required information. While you're logged in, you can add colleges you're interested in to your list, so each school's application requirements and deadlines are easily accessible from one spot. (Pro-tip: you can filter your search by requirements, location, and fees.)
Collaborating with your network
Make note of any recommendation letters that you need and start thinking about who knows you best in and out of the classroom. You can ask teachers, counselors, employers, coaches, etc. for help, and recommenders can submit materials through the Common Application too.
Completing the application
Although each school will have varying admission requirements, the Common Application is the perfect way to keep track of important dates. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to apply to each school on your list, so you can make sure your materials—whether it be a personal essay or a college-specific prompt—are application-ready.
Remember to add La Salle University to your list! It's free to apply, and we do not consider standardized tests for admission.
